For information on our international network visit www.colas.com.Job SummaryThe Grade Checker will play a vital role in our civil construction projects, specifically verifying that site grading adheres to project specifications using advanced surveying tools and systems. This position ensures accurate implementation of the planned grade and elevation throughout the construction process. Are you ready to join an incredible team? Let's talk!Main Responsibilities

Grade Measurement:Operate surveying systems to accurately determine and verify the grade of construction sites.

Data Analysis and Implementation:Analyze site measurements against project plans and specifications. Provide real-time feedback and guidance to earthmoving equipment operators to adjust grade as necessary.

Collaboration and Communication:Work closely with project managers, and construction teams to ensure grading activities are aligned with project goals. Communicate optimally any changes or adjustments that need to be made on-site.

Compliance and Quality Control:Supervise all grading tasks in keeping with safety, quality, and environmental standards. Ensure that all grading work meets the detailed specifications of the project.

Documentation:Maintain detailed and accurate records of all grade checks, adjustments, and other relevant activities to ensure traceability and compliance with project documentation requirements.

Problem Resolution:Quickly identify and resolve any discrepancies between the graded site and the project plans, initiating corrective measures in a timely manner to avoid delays in project timelines.

EducationHigh School diploma or equivalent experience.SkillsA minimum of 2 years experience as a Grade Checker.Physical Requirements

Ability to pass a pre-employment and random urinalysis.

Able to pass a physical ability test.

Ability to walk, bend and stoop up to 10 hours a day.
